Snares Of Internal Nature.

The greatest enemy of a child of God and a born again Christian are not those things and people from without that provoke and tempt, no, they are the things that plague every human heart. When people provoke from without, impatience provokes from with in. When the eyes are drawn to lust after a woman does not the heart follow first? And when someone frustrates our plans does not pride in our hearts scream, “my way!”
People are not our enemies, no for it is our own hearts ablaze with a magnetic charge toward sin. The only difference between those with and without the Spirit of Christ is we who have the Spirit can and should choose to crucify our sinful natures daily.

Galatians 5:16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Mark 7:20-23 He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

The Heart Of America’s Political Problems is….

Judges 17:6 In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit.
Sounds like America does it not? Everyone both liberals and conservatives, police vs citizens, blacks vs whites, rich vs poor, women against men and people in this group or that group, here and there its seems are engaged in a verbal blood bath with one another. Left to our own devices and pathetic desires to be in complete control we will kill each other in rage. Can we all admit we all are despicable when we are left to ourselves? I’d say we are! Left to myself I am a monster and am not going to deny the reality of that.

James 4:1-4 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

Our problems are not political but internal. In every single soul there is a desire to be king, dictator, chief and god of our worlds we egotistically construct. We pick friends who agree with us and seldom do people in general like being told they are wrong, even if deep down they know it. No rather we all have the inward deceptive trickery to accumulate for ourselves people who will support our lordship and agenda.

Yet, we face the sobering reality that we are not gods, and there is only one God who can command us how to live! In our human pride we writhe at such a thought and wish it away.

Was not Satan’s demise his desire to ascend and rule as God?

Isaiah 14:14-15 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” But you are brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit.

Yet if a once holy angel fell for such corruption then how much more could unholy men and women by nature also fall prey to such error.

The root of every sin is pride and selfishness, every covetous, lewd, filthy, depraved desire springs out of such –

-People steal out of desiring what others have with no regard to anyone but self.

-People who murder kill out of selfish pride and disregard for anyone’s life but their own.

-People oppose eachother will hearts filled with prideful swollen notions that they are better, smarter, and more worthy of respect then others.

-People disregard God’s moral guidelines because they see themselves as having no need to be told what to do, how to live, act or think.

-People explode in anger because their pride and self righteousness are challenged

-People slam eachother with insults because “how dare anyone get in my way? – “Oppose my opinion?” -“Think they know better then I!”

-People cause harm to others without the slightest care “because it does not matter how it affects them and its about my pleasures and happiness”

Every sin, crime, and immoral or underhanded thing is rooted in mankind’s self absorbed wicked heart. The heart is the throne of man’s sinfulness. Every human is born with a heart hell bent on himself/herself.

Yet we are not without hope, no, we have found that yes “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)

But “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whosoever shall believe in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16)

For God so loved who? The world! Did Christ come to save sinners? Yes. Did Christ come to save liberals? Yes. Did he come to save conservatives? Yes. Men? Yes! Women? Yes? Blacks? Yes! Whites? Yes? Asians, Hispanics, Native Americans, Rich and Poor as well? Yes! What about Jews or Muslims or Buddhists, Atheists and Agnostics? Yes!

Romans 10:9-15 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

The good news is God loves humanity at its very worst to die for the sins of all mankind. All who in faith turn to Christ in repentance are completely forgiven and will become the children of God. He does not save any of us because we deserve it or earn it but because we accept this gift in faith! I was saved out of my life of sin not because I deserved it, no, I, Austin George, was saved because I was drowning in my sin.

The Real Enemy Of A Christian.

America that ignores life’s road signs.

American’s are very conditioned individualistically. Not many in this country like being told how to live or what to do, and I would venture to suggest that real freedom we actually enjoy cannot truly exist without some proper order, law or moral code.

When your stopped at a busy street and the light turns red, how will it turn out for you if you say, “Im free to do what I want so I do not care what color the light is! Im free to do whatever I want!” But plow through that stop light and be prepared to be in a wreck. There are consequences to choices. The red light does not prevent you from driving wherever you wish, yet it dictates when you can proceed through that intersection.

Morality and freedom go hand in hand if properly functioning in sync with one another. We have laws in place to prevent certain things from occurring. Can a person truly live in freedom if they have to fear about no legal prosecution of those who break laws, can a person feel truly free if no law and order exist? After all, the thieves, murderers and perverts will prey on you. You will not be free with no laws but rather in fear of your life.
The problem arises when man separates national laws from moral God given laws. If their is indeed a natural order of how things work in the order of the world we live then defying the laws of natural order are as hazardous as running through a stop sign or a red light on a busy intersection.

Many people are infected with STD’s, mental health issues are on the rise and I would not be slightly surprised if drug usage contributed to this, consider also how many tragedies could be avoided if people would not get behind the wheel of a car intoxicated, not only does that endanger lives and often result in deaths of innocent people but also every person put in jail and prison costs taxpayers money. Seemingly small choices are not solitary dominos but many times trigger chain reactions far greater then imagined. We see sex crazed men go after women in attempts to get a “good time” and imagine how many women in our society have a spoiled and tainted view of what manhood is all about. We see girls and young men from an early age see the ways their father treats their own mother and that molds a worldview whether good or bad, and many times it is not a good one. So young men go around often trying to get in bed with women and “score first base” and often young women see “all men” as disgusting pigs that care nothing about women’s feelings but just want a cheap hook up. Some women resign themselves to say, “Oh thats just how it is so I might as well get used to it” and they in a misconceived notion think that the only way to get a man to love them is to dress provocatively and or accommodate men. Others get bitter I’m sure and in an act of retaliation may just reject all men together and pass up even nice ones because they carry the preconceived notion all men are liars and swine.

Another prime example is Alcohol addiction. How many families are destroyed over an alcoholic parent? A man in a drunken stupor beats his wife and kids, or ruins the family and brings them to poverty because he cannot let loose of the bottle.

Take for another example a child molester, how many adults in our time still carry with them the scars of childhood abuse?

Or a crack head mother strung out on drugs, how many parents have in the name of their addictions caused life long struggles for their children.

The thing is people can say, “My body my choice all they like” but what you do with your body affects more then your self centered little bubble you live in. Whether you be a mass shooter, terrorist, drunk or druggie.

Some think their choices do not “concern anyone but themselves” – How many children are affected by divorce because their parents could not work things out? How many people are scarred and feel rejected when their father leaves their mother for another woman? Or maybe he just becomes only the cheap donator of sperm and ditches his creation there after. These “individualistic freedoms” affect people, it affects society, and its not just one person’s business when it drags everyone else down!

Many Americans reject moral principles and God given values and label these as the source of “evil in the world”- yet maybe if people decided to actually follow these principles correctly then maybe you would see less evil in the world. And in the pretense of personal freedom people sacrifice their descendants on the altar of their own selfishness.

Your not as free as you think folks, your either a slave to what is good and right or a slave to your own deceiving appetites.

No priest Like Christ The High Priest.

Not to start arguments or be confrontational since I do have Catholic friends who do their best to follow Christ as Savior and Lord. However, it is unsettling and disturbing how easily erroneous teachings have permeated so many so called “Christian circles”

There are a few serious issues circulating in Roman Catholicism or in many circles there of, for starters, where in scripture do we find that we have to confess our sins to a priest. The only priest capable of forgiving our sins is Jesus Christ, the Great High Priest.

Hebrews 4:14-16 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

These verses should be enough to build a case. We through faith and the rebirth of the Holy Spirit have access to God through the blood of Christ, not some priest in a box.

2.) Another error is the whole concept of calling a priest, “father” since this is clearly not supported in scripture either.

Matthew 23:8-12 “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

So at the end of the day the religious hierarchy in the Catholic Church is a unbiblical. The idea of the Pope is not a scripturally based one.

Let me reiterate:

Matthew 23:5-11 “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others. “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant.

3.) What about intercessions through Mary like the Catholic Church seems to suggest.

That is not scriptural either.
1 John 5:13-15 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

What does it say our confidence is in here in 1 John 5 “if we ask anything according to his (God’s) will” It also says “I write these things to you who believe (Born Again Christ Followers)

The truth of the matter we are made right with God through rebirth into God’s family by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, not through confirmation or incantations or ritualistic observance or the “saints interceding for us” since the Bible makes it clear that Jesus Christ is the one who intercedes for us.

Romans 8:26-27 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

Hebrews 7:24-25 but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

We have full access to God through only, yes only, the saving work of Jesus Christ and nothing else

The Car Battery Christian.

Imagine your life in Christ as like a car battery. Imagine a car without an alternator and with only a fully charged battery. Sure the battery may stay charged for a few hours, at best, but as soon as its charge is depleted it goes dead. The alternator’s job is to maintain the battery life and sustain it’s charge. Now tell me who is a Christian that is drained? A person who is not drawing power and strength from The Almighty Alternator!
