Storm Shelter.

When a tornado touches down and the sirens are blaring and the winds are howling they suggest getting in a ditch or hiding under a bridge if you cannot get to a basement. Well what should we do when life gets tornadic? Hide in the refuge of Almighty God. Sometimes all you can do is wait out the storm and flee for refuge in the Lord until it passes. We may be tempted to keep driving forward and outrun the storm because we think we can outwit our situation but truly the safest thing is to trust God and take refuge in His care and wisdom by doing what he tells us to, and often that is to wait and trust. We must remain loyal and upright in such times because waiting requires obedience to things we know we ought to do while we trust him with impossibilities beyond us.

Psalm 9:9-10 The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
